The Role 

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. Working across iLA’s digital initiatives and adopting a continuous improvement approach, this OT role will be responsible for providing clinical advice, training, input, supervision and support. 

Key duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Plan, develop, and deliver a range of resources, tools and measures across initiatives within iLA.
  • Maintain, update and expand assistive technology content available to staff and clients, in line with product developments and technological advancements.
  • Assist and supervise staff delivering mentoring and navigation services within iLA.
  • Maintain iLA’s activity database ensuring fit for purpose.
  • Represent iLA at conferences, seminars, workshops, expos and other forums
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and alignment with iLA project objectives

 

About You 

The successful candidate will have experience in developing resources for the purpose of educating and building knowledge, have sound understanding of data collection and demonstrate exceptional communication skills. In particular, the Occupational Therapist Projects Professional will:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Disability and/or Aged Care Sector
  • Have an understanding of the needs of a diverse range of individuals across all age spans and abilities.
  • Effectively deliver complex or clinical information in a simple way. 
  • Have a good understanding of assistive technology, home modifications and wellness and reablement.
  • Demonstrate experience leading/supervising staff.
  • Ability to manage a diverse portfolio, prioritise and meet deadlines, sometimes working with incomplete information or managing conflicting issues in a professional manner
